Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PeakResume, available at https://peakresu.me (the "Service"), provided by the operator of PeakResume ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
PeakResume lets you create, edit, store, export, and share resumes and related documents. Free accounts include a limited number of resumes and branded PDF exports. Paid plans ("Peak Pro") unlock additional features as described on our pricing page.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
3. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis via our payment provider (Stripe). Prices are shown before checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
Statutory withdrawal right for EU consumers
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, distance-selling law (Directive 2011/83/EU, as implemented in your country) generally gives you a right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving a reason, including for digital content and digital services not supplied on a tangible medium.
Immediate access and loss of the withdrawal right
Because Peak Pro grants immediate access to a digital service, at checkout you expressly request that we begin performance before the withdrawal period ends, and you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal is lost once the service has been fully performed. Where the service has not yet been fully performed, you may still withdraw within the 14-day period described above.
Refunds
Beyond the statutory withdrawal right above, we offer a separate, more generous goodwill refund policy. See our Refunds page for details and how to request one.
Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel your subscription online at any time from Cancel subscription or your account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep paid features until the end of the billing period you already paid for.
4. Your content
You retain all rights to the content you create in the Service. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the Service (storing your data, rendering your documents, serving your public resume link if you enable it). We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to violate laws, infringe others' rights, distribute malware, attempt to breach our systems, or misrepresent your identity in a fraudulent manner. We may suspend accounts that do.
6. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical. We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in the Service, and continued use constitutes acceptance.
7. Disclaimer and liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such a limitation is not permitted by applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded under the law applicable to you.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from settings, which permanently removes your data. We may terminate accounts that materially breach these Terms.
